SPHERE’s primary objective is to improve the energy design, performance, and management of buildings. The solution has two levels. The first level consists of an integration of the processes within the Digital Twin concept, which includes not only the design and construction of the building, but also the production and operation phases. The second level is an integrated platform achieved through an ICT infrastructure based on Platform-as-a-Service services to enable large-scale data, information, and knowledge integration and synchronization. Special attention will be paid to cyber security, usability, and data sovereignty of the entire system.
