AwareMe

New medical technology concepts and systems are being developed in the AwareMe project. Sensors and actuators are distributed over the user’s body, collect information, and provide feedback. Vital parameters and movements are measured by sensors that are integrated into clothing, jewelry, or shoes. Distributed and networked actuators indicate a slowly increasing urge to move and provide unobtrusive and non-stigmatizing recommendations for therapeutic exercises. This requires miniaturization, wireless networking, and energy supply. The collected data is already evaluated on the body in order to provide direct feedback. In addition, the data is processed in order to compare it with other relevant data from other sources.
