Project SiToLub will create a virtual platform based on integrated computational models with built-in artificial intelligence (AI) features. The goal is to predict innovative safe and sustainable lubricant’s performance in a tribological system and to facilitate the formulation of new lubricants to overcome the obstacles that the European industry is facing through new market demands, regulatory requirements, or shortage of raw materials and supply chain insecurity.

Through the SiToLub platform, the advanced computational models and AI will help companies to meet the evolving needs of the European industry, to strengthen European competitiveness, and to promote sectorwide sustainability. Consequently, SiToLub will contribute directly to the wider EU goals of digital and green transformation.
