As an Application Developer you will be part of our Scrum team developing our Windows desktop applications.
In this role, you will be involved in the creation of our products, which are used daily by well over a million end users around the world.
You will work with modern technologies such as C# and WPF and be involved in front-end and back-end development.
You actively participate in the planning of the next sprint and make decisions about the technical implementation and effort estimates.
In addition, you will participate in our national or international research projects, where you work together with partners
on innovative IT projects.
Whether you are a night owl or a morning worm, our working time system allows you to work flexible hours.
You can work with us full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time. We are located between Bremen and Oldenburg,
offer a home office arrangement and many other advantages. And if you are not from this area
and would prefer to work 100% remotely, please contact us.
YOUR MOM SAYS ABOUT YOU
Don’t always sit at the computer and go out with friends, after all you are a likeable person.
You are not a perfectionist, but you know when to clean up.
You are a hands-on person who knows how to get things done.
You can always be relied on and you are true to your word.
You are curious and a motivated and energetic person.
You stand up for your opinion but have no problem compromising.
Challenges are your favourite food – besides pizza, of course.
YOUR COLLEAGUES SAY ABOUT YOU
Born to be a developer!
You have some experience in implementing software projects.
Quality and architecture are important to you, but you are still rather pragmatic than dogmatic.
C#, WPF, MVVM – you don’t have to know everything, but you should be eager to learn and open-minded.
You can make independent decisions, justify your opinion and work independently.
More importantly, you need to be a team player, accept feedback, be open about what is important to you,
and be a pleasant person who likes to laugh with your colleagues.
You write relatively easy-to-understand code, document what is not so understandable
(always these good intentions…) and can explain technical issues well.
THIS IS HOW YOU BECOME AN ASCORIAN
Step 1: Your application
You recognize yourself immediately and the position fits your skills exactly? Perfect! Then use our application form to send us your resume and to send your testimonials.
If everything worked out, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.
We will invite you for a full job interview, which usually takes 1-2 hours. Within this meeting, we will ask you more detailed questions and we also invite you to ask us questions, too. Ideally, the job interview allows us to find out, if we fit to each other.
